About Reciperr

Discover your next favourite movie.

Reciperr is a movie browser built for discovery. It brings a huge library of movies together with scores and details from the sites you already trust, and lets you explore it any way you like. When you find a mix that works, save it as a recipe: a live list of matching movies that you can use in different ways, through different integrations.

Why it exists

Finding something good to watch usually means jumping between review sites, trending pages and someone else’s top 100, and the movie you would love is often one none of them mention.

Reciperr puts it all in one place. Scores and details from several sites sit side by side across the whole library, so you can say precisely what “a movie I’d want” means to you and see every answer, from this week’s releases to the overlooked ones from decades ago. Save that question as a recipe, and Reciperr keeps answering it every day.

How it works

  1. 1. Browse and filter

Start from the whole library and narrow it down: scores from TMDB, IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic and Trakt, genres, people, languages, release dates, runtime, certificates, parents guide, streaming services and more. The posters update as you go.

  2. 2. Dig into a movie

Open any poster for the full picture: every score side by side, cast and crew, trailers, reviews, trivia, the soundtrack and where it is streaming. One good find leads to the next.

  3. 3. Save it as a recipe

A recipe is a saved set of filters with a name and tags. Every recipe gets a list link that always returns the movies matching it today, so it keeps up as new movies are released and scores change.

  4. 4. Use the list anywhere

A recipe’s list works wherever you need it: in the integrations Reciperr connects to, through webhooks to your own tools, or as a plain link any app that reads movie lists can follow.

  5. 5. Rate, and get suggestions

Rate movies you have seen, or import your ratings from Trakt, Letterboxd, IMDb or TMDB. For you then suggests movies that resemble the ones you liked, and explains which of your favourites led to each one.

Questions

Do I need an account?

Not for browsing: anyone can filter the library, open movies, community recipes and external lists. An account lets you save recipes, rate movies, get suggestions and connect integrations. Sign up with a username, Google or Plex.

Do I need to connect anything?

No. Reciperr is a movie browser first and works fully on its own. Integrations are there for when you want your lists to reach other apps.

Where does the movie data come from?

Movie details come from TMDB and IMDb, with scores from Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic and Trakt. The library is refreshed daily, which is why a recipe’s results change over time.

Does Reciperr download movies?

No. Reciperr never stores or transfers movie files. It only describes movies and makes lists; what happens with a list is up to the software you run and how you configured it.

Ideas, bugs, recipes to share?

Reciperr grows with the people who use it. Come say hi, ask for a filter, or show off a recipe.
